You can configure FuseDesk Live Chat to prompt a visitor for their name and email before they chat, after they write their first message, or not at all.

To change this preference, head into your Live Chat Settings and under User Identity, choose the option that you’d like.

Regardless of your setting, if your website visitor is previously identified, they won’t have to provide their name and email again since it’s already on file.
