In January 2010, Tom’s seventy-four-year-old mom was living in a seniors complex in Florida. One morning, she was discovered unconscious in her room and rushed to the hospital, where she was suffering but awake and coherent. Unfortunately, by the time Tom and his family arrived, it was too late. Fortunately, his mom’s passing had a silver lining.

Keytags a success—he wanted to help other people avoid the painful experience of not being there for loved ones in an emergency.
